But this album will always be a milestone moment - Levi's public coming out.

One of the Ones is the 2005 debut album from Tony Award-winning artist Levi Kreis — a raw, confessional soul-pop collection that marked his public coming out and reshaped the landscape for openly gay singer-songwriters.

Just piano, voice, and a whole lot of truth, this record was Levi’s first act of radical self-ownership. After years in the gospel closet and a stint in conversion therapy, One of the Ones became both a musical love letter to the men who shaped him and a brave declaration of identity — long before queer visibility was considered marketable.

🎵 This is the album that gave us:

The viral heartbreak ballad “I Should Go” (featured on Days of Our Lives during the iconic Austin and Carrie reunion)

The unapologetic “Love In Another Light” (a story of desire, survival, and back rooms with boys that don't have a name)

The emotionally tender “Just This Good” (written for a real-life crush, performed live on NBC's The Apprentice)

The devastatingly honest “Left Over” (about being the one left behind)

The live-wire closing tracks “Kiss U Yet” and “Man Outta Me” (recorded live, unfiltered and unforgettable)

More than just songs — these are pages from a diary. Stories of flings, feelings, fallout, and firsts. Together they formed a soul-pop blueprint for queer male vulnerability at a time when very few artists dared to be this open.
